After the ES scandal and moves in the field this list is going to change drastically (as it should).
1. Maryland (will stay number 1)
2. UC-Irvine (will stay number 2)
2. ASU (will drop to 3 or 4)
4. U. Cincinnati (will drop to 7 or 8)
5. Penn State U. (will drop to 6 - 8, losing Loughran, grad students miserable)
5. Albany (will tank down to 8-10, Pickett a drag, lost Pridemore, Bushway, juniors not cutting it)
7. FSU (will tank to the teens. Their BS is finally catching up with them, not just the ES thing but all the sexual harassment complaints in the years previous).
7. Rutgers (will hold steady)
9. Michigan State (will hold steady or drop out of the top 10).
10. George Mason (will hold steady or move up slightly, although they did lose Faye Taxman, so maybe not).
11. UMSL (hold steady or drop. I think they've fallen pretty far already, but they did lose Rosenfeld and Lauritsen to retirement).
12. Northeaster (hold steady or drop slightly)
13. Nebraska (should tank. They have nobody but their old rep. Lower teens)
14. Temple (will hold steady or move up)
15. John Jay (poised to make a leap, should hit the top 10 this time).
15. Sam Houston (should drop into the 20s. They're a mess, rampant sexism and racism)
15. U. of Florida (why TF are they ranked in the teens? Please. Dropping into the 20s).
18. GSU (should make a leap, just outside the top 10, junior faculty killing it, housing Criminology).
18. Delaware (rock steady)
18. South Florida (steadily moving up, just got Loughgran, good overall faculty, maybe 13-15).
21. American U. (they have no identity other than DEI. Nobody knows their Chair. Weakest program in their college. Possible drop again to upper 20s).
22. UCF (steady or move up a little. Their biggest problem is that they are at a cheap university that doesn't care about quality).
23. UMass-Lowell (rock steady,
