Hey, I'm working on updating my CV to apply to grad school since I've now got the time and money to support it. I'm having some trouble filling out my CV though, and I'm thinking I may have to bite the bullet with it being pretty lean.
The trouble I'm having is that I don't have a lot of academic content to flesh out a CV like many other people do. I don't have any publications at all, and very little in the way of other academic reports, presentations, etc.
What I do have though is a huge amount of work done in my roles in government that I could fill this out with.
The specific trouble I'm having and the purpose of this post is that I'm unsure if I can list these, since 100% of it is inaccessible by the public (and in some cases, limited to the specific department or branch I worked in). I could use a reference in the government to verify these exist and that I worked on them, but that'd be the extent of it. Would that even be helpful if people can't access the documents to verify the quality and style of my work?
Prior colleagues didn't do their education and work in this order and are of no help, as are resume websites or forums I've checked (though maybe my google-fu is just weak af). Is there a way to include this content on a CV elegantly without it seeming sketchy, or would this be a complete no-go?
