"You were already TOLD that they both live in Iowa City, and both are listed as white according to official documents. That should be enough information for you to determine this if you are really that interested..
I’ll take up the challenge (by getting my genealogist cousin to do it). Any more public info? Where has he published details of his family story, that I can pdf and send her?

I thought race was a complete social construction? I also thought choosing one's identity was the highest form of liberation? He has done nothing wrong according to your own logic.
I actually agree with you. People can self-ID however they please, and it's no one else's busine/s/s. I was just wondering if he fabri/cated his story.
I did a little digging, and I think he's telling the truth. Here's a photo of his grandfather:
I found another photo of his father playing HS basketball, and he looks quite dark too. At this point, I'm going to stop dig/ging. Ray is telling the truth about his family. He is descended from PoCs, and grew up around them.
Does he deserve a diversity hire? That's a question for the university, not him. Hate the game, not the playa.

His work is still cr/a/p though.

Both of VR's parents are listed as white in official documents. -
We also should note how VR has pointedly refused to release any genetic ancestry test results, despite indicating that many people in his youth claimed he and his brother likely had different fathers? How does this speak to his confidence in his racial authenticity?

I have an outrageous demand: why don't you assurers show some evidence? the only concrete evidence you have presented so far is his headshot.
You can easily do the research yourself. There is no doubt that Vic’s father is bla/c/k. Look up his photo in the Greensboro HS yearbook. Look up his aunt’s photo there, and his other aunt’s photo in Who’s Who. This is a bla/c/k family that moved from Alabama — where granpa graduated HS — to PA. If you think you have contrary evidence, post it.
