I've been on and off the market for years.
I don't have hard data, but it seems like there are more race jobs than 5 years ago as a proportion of jobs. Crim is still good.
People from low ranked programs rarely get tenure track jobs. I've seen 25-30 people graduate from my unranked program and 2-3 have gotten tenure track jobs. This will probably get even worse in the future.
As the old dudes retire, they are mostly being replaced by white women. I'm not sure exactly what that means for our field, but in a decade or so the major power brokers in our field will almost exclusively be white women.
