There was probably some investigation which led to her getting prescribed a bunch of medications. And I'm guessing the result of it all was to resign voluntarily or get canned. Im not so sure it would have been easy to "can" her unless the student filed a complaint about her. If her evals were solid and she had the pubs she likely would've been tenured. My guess is either department admin or admin higher-ups tried to get her to tone down her social media nonsense, possibly repeatedly, she viewed as them trying to cramp her style and not let her "be herself", and decided to leave. We will likely never know. But it must be nice to be financially situated in such a way as to be able to leave a job without anything else lined up. I'd rag on her for this but don't recall her ever virtue-signaling as "first-gen" or underprivileged or whatever so ..</blockquote>
