ASU goes through chairs as often as the Piqueros change jobs. Beware.

Texas State's campus is actually in a pretty sweet spot, 25 mins from downtown Austin, 40 mins from downtown San Antonio. But if you're chasing prestige ASU is the better option, for sure.
Debatable that Phoenix is a "real" city, though it's certainly a sprawling suburbanite hell full of beige everything where shopping malls and movie theatres are the cultural landmarks. The entire Phoenix metro area is like a ghost town shared by over four million people with an occasional coyote running in front of your car.
I'd rather work at Texas State than ASU-Downtown but to each their own.
Uhhhbecause its Texas State and ASU is the second ranked program in the country and its in a real city?
why would sullivan leave texas state? he hasnt even been there a year
Sheldon Zang or Chris Sullivan or Dean Dabny at ASU. -

Why don't people like Lady Piquero? I never met her or read any of her work but she can't be as objectionable as her husband, can she?

BH from UMSL to ASU
Nope. She didnt make the cut, for the same reason Nicky Piquero didnt: Nobody likes her. -
Nobody ever has anything to say about this. It’s always just “if you know what I heard” when it comes to the Piqueros. Never any real substantive points about what they did. The Piquero envy is real.

Saying what you heard is not doxxing yourself. This site is filled with people saying stuff they heard about others. When it comes to the Piqueros, especially Lady Piquero, there are no specifics. This is why the unspecific comments against them seem like envy.

Maybe because they don't want to doxx themselves. -

The envy is probably real also. And they have made a lot of haters all over.
But I am not going to be specific about "what I heard" because doxxing. Ask the right people at ASC.

OK. Be general about what you “heard.” LOL! I can’t believe people are on a ru/mor forum afraid of discussing ru/mors.

Scott Jacques. He wrote in his cover letter about how he has loved the Carolinas since he was a boy and had a good time traveling there on high school trips to play soccer games, and how it's still close enough to his parents house that he can go visit. Also how he was going to make faculty stop using textbooks and how that would get them widespread media attention and disciplinary accolades.
The South Carolina faculty loved it and the dean hur/ried to make him an offer because they know with a pitch like that he'd be quickly snatched up by some competitor school in a state he also traveled to as a boy to play soccer games.
Who got the job at South Carolina?
-
At lesat he applied for the job using some originality.
