OR, maybe the Dems need to lose again with another no-energy establishment candidate with lots of baggage so that they can learn...oh wait, they won't learn.
Can we just bring Bernie back?
-
Yes let's bring someone back who couldn't even win in his own primary! Way better than Biden, who has a sizable lead in early polling against Trump, including in swing states.
Bernie bro response: But Biden is so old... not like Bernie! Are you serious? As if Biden could have won if the DNC hadn't orchestrated his 'victory' (aka, the other moderate centrist establishment Dems dropping out and supporting him).
Sanders polled better than Biden.
Biden is literally incoherent.
You are either kidding yourself, woefully underinformed, or a dolt. (or maybe all three).

For some reason people on this site think trump is a good debater and dont remember that Hilary torched him
If someone claims Trump beat Hillary in the debates, that's usually a good sign to ignore all their subsequent analysis.
The Bernie Bros on SJMR have a pretty simple argument:
-Bernie is my candidate
-Because Bernie is my candidate, Bernie is the only one who can beat Trump, and is therefore the solution
-Because Bernie is the only one who can beat Trump, Bernie is a good debater and has popular policies and is a broadly loved candidate who everyone will vote for.
It's pretty clear that only #1 is true, and if they actually went in logical order, the reverse, that they couldn't end up there. The fact is that Bernie has *good* policies but he's pretty weak on electability, and Bernie Bros' unwillingness to confront this makes them bad-faith debaters.Or
-Biden is incoherent
-Biden doesn't excite the young and swing voters who are key to victory in swing states
-Biden has personal baggage (let's face it his son is sketchy)
-Biden has legislative baggage (A LOT of non-progressive votes)
-That he isn't Trump is all he has going for him.But sure, it's all because 'he isn't Sanders' (coming from the people who will vote for anyone who a) isn't Trump or b) isn't Bernie, because 'Bernie isn't nice'
-
Bernie took a ton of unpopular political stances and he paid for it. I don't think that's much of a secret. That's why he lost to Biden, and it's why his polling vs Trump never improved while Biden's did (to the point that Biden had a pretty consistent edge vs. Bernie everywhere except WI).
Sometimes, it's not that hard. I think both Bernie and Biden could beat Trump, and I prefer Bernie, but it's over.

If I knew Bernie Bro tears were this delicious then I would have voted for Gabbard in the primary instead of Bernie. I like Bernie, but you all need to get over it. The SC primary was the turning point of the primaries, not some DNC conspiracy theory of other candidates dropping out to prop Biden up. Bernie underperformed relative to 2016.

9c52 "Bernie bros" is largely a fiction among non-Bernie supporters. I would support Biden on policy, which makes me the opposite of a "Bernie bro." But I think Biden has way less of a change in the specific contest against Trump, which makes people on this thread *call* me a Bernie bro.

That South Carolina -- a state that will never go Democratic in our lifetimes -- was the turning point, says it all. Clyburn didn't feel like Sanders pandered to him enough, and Clyburn gets more money than any other congressman from big Pharma.
Of course it was a conspiracy (the action of plotting or conspiring) by the DNC...you think the Pete stepping down WHILE IN SECOND PLACE was just his idea? Oh you're a Biden fan/apologist, of course you do.
