The PNC fairy troll. Say repetitive or obsessive or creepy (or anything that is not "nice") and PNC in the same sentence and you can see that comment vanish into the SJMR atmosphere. It's like magic or censorship, whatever beakman or the darkmod decides it is...
"Obssessive", "creepy" -- and ad hominem attacks in general -- are not parts of scholarly communication. They indicate a teenage girl's vocabulary. Grow up, write like an adult, and you won't get modded.

She's just a grad student forum that outed herself online a couple of years ago. Bravely, I might add. Now the soc twitterati like picking on her because of her different views. They say she's like stormfront. But that's just an unprofessional ad hominem. I met her once at an online conference. We had martinis and discussed how many hits we get and which one is more V/HRM or VLRM. She's just a mean girl's girl forum. Super sassy and fun, a little abrasive, but great to talk to virtually.

They have formed an outside committee this year because of dissension in the department over recent hires. The committee consists of Jeremy Freese, Fabio Rojas, Phil Cohen, Dan Hirschman, and that Canadian woman who blogs about kids, Canada, and hockey on scatterplot.

The Curious case of Mr. S. J.M.R. Bro, soon to be awarded the Doctor of Philosophy degree from Harvard University, one of the finer American institutions of higher learning.
"Damn it!" exclaimed Mr. S. J.M.R. Bro. He stood bolt upright and threw his Vertu mobile across the room. As his new device clinked onto the honey-coloured travertine covering the floor of his Cambridge pied-�-terre, he thought to himself, "enough SJMR for today, I�ll show that Beakman who is boss tomorrow!�
He entered his darkened bedroom and felt around for his girlfriend, Svetlana. Svetlana, once one of the highest paid models in the world, was also �writing a dissertation in Sociology� at Harvard. It was about modeling, and �the body,� or�something like that. S. Bro thought it was almost as cute as Svetlana, but he didn�t pretend to understand it or to really be interested in it. They had a frank and honest relationship. He knew it wasn�t really Science like his Big Data, SNA dissertation on how tweeting about candidates in New England mayoral races affects Wendy�s �Baconator� sales in New Mexico, but, dear lord, she was cute! He snuggled up next to Svetlana and drifted off to sleep�
The meeting of the External Faculty Hiring Committee was called to order. After approval of minutes, Chairman JF confessed that he was �so busy� with his latest work of �interactive fiction� that he �was unable to read most of the applications.� �Surely,� he offered, �there must be at least one RWJ in the stack of 500 applications�we should -

Where did they go? I miss them :'(Probably got bored of tearing the resident troll a new asshole for weeks. Those were the best SJMR days!

I know one of them. She is super witty and loved toying with G.P. She's really busy with her PhD at a top program in the Midwest, her bf, and a new puppy. I don't know about the rest of them. I think a few posters just copied her and others were her friends at other schools in Cali and the Northeast that were tired of the mods not doing their jobs. Seems beakman is at least trying now. Still way too much trolling, though.Is she at Chicago? That would be awkward...
