This is a sociology board, not one for half-wit tangentially related disciplines that salami slice everything they write.
Someone post the full criminology & penology impact factors PLEASE
Please. Sociology is a fledgling discipline that has been shedding students for several years and is now half activists. It’s a slow death, but you are definitely dying. Please make the counter argument. And, yes CJ is half-wit, cop shop, and salami slicing, but that’s not criminology.

Please. Criminology is full of activists, they’re just of the alt-right, gamergate type.
Sociology of Race and Ethnicity is killing it! higher than SF?! Having come out of the job market two years ago, knowing that AJS and SF are placed so high on the list of "top journals," I am very surprised by how low they rank in terms of their impact factor. And, wow, Sociological Science is also killing it!
The fact you can get tenured many places with a couple of SF is a funny dynamic showing how much sociology mostly looks in on itself. I’ve published plenty in higher impact journals that I guarantee are 5x faster and easier to get into than SF.
Yet for all the obsessive reviews, what is it producing that anyone gives af about? Articles cited less than 2 times a year on average?
Sad!
