“Sjmr traffic will go back to normal”

You don't get it. There are 10 active people here and a handful of random people who pop in. The 10 of us aren't going anywhere. It doesn't matter if the normies leave and traffic is down. We're not leaving.
You really think they’re going to keep the site up for ten people? They’ll lose money. Enjoy it while it lasts.
-
Imagine being op. A sniveling little boy obsessing about an online forum and desperately trying to feel important by spamming it. Are your sniveling friends impressed?
Lol, look at how mad you are. I’m clearly not the one with the obsession.
I’m not spamming :)

You really think theyre going to keep the site up for ten people? Theyll lose money. Enjoy it while it lasts. You're still visiting. It's still bringing in ad revenue. Plus EJMR and PSR are giving Kirk money. The benefits, even if it's only a few people visiting, far outweigh the costs. Kirk will sooner get rid of you and the lady who was booted from her M.S. program for being an/no/yi/ng than pull the plug.
-
Yeah, EJMR and PSR are fine. I frequent PSR a lot as a political sociologist.
What you’re saying is mostly accurate, except for the conclusion. The most likely scenario given your analysis is Kirk keeps SJMR and PSR while cutting SJMR.
Several of us are reporting racist, sexist, and violent posts to Google Adsense to ensure the money dries up. It’s already resulted in deleted posts, so it must be worked.

Well said. Plus some of us rotate guard duty during off hours. You don't get it. There are 10 active people here and a handful of random people who pop in. The 10 of us aren't going anywhere. It doesn't matter if the normies leave and traffic is down. We're not leaving.

Actually if you look specificaly at page views, they're not really down at all. It's just that fewer threads are made, ergo overall traffic looks lower. It's not even really true that fewer people are visiting the site, just that there's lower engagement in the wake of the incel attacks against the forum, especially when the front page is clogged with spam. Now think for a moment about why the incels are attacking this site.

It’s true that fewer people are visiting the site. Traffic trackers go on hits to anywhere on the site. The most common entry point being an old thread about AG.
Total numbers of entries into the domain are down by more than half. That’s obvious. It isn’t a statistical artifact. The average person clicks a few links and stays a few minutes.
It’s a steady, slowly declining line this year too. Bumps never last. There is zero indication that the site recovers from spam attacks.

Looking at views per thread doesn’t help. There’s clearly automated traffic there. Look at this page full of spam:
Do you seriously believe that hundreds of people visited every gibberish thread?
https://www.socjobrumors.com/page/250
Yet today, we’ve got several post, not spam, doing a fraction of what spam was doing last year.
No, the views don’t look good either.

No, the views dont look good either.Surely there are some automated views, but you're showing accumulated automated views of spam posts over an entire year versus one day of views (most legitimate, some automated) of real posts.
Pointing out that a spam post would accumulate 250 automatated/bot views over 8 months (barely more than 1 view per day), much from search engine amd archive crawlers, strongly refutes your argument that recent numbers are inflated. If each thread accumulates say 2 automated views from search engine crawler bots per day, that barely impacts the totals you see for active real threads. -
Someone just bumped a thread about child abuse in public schools from a year ago. That thread was moderately engaged at the time, yet has fewer total views than a thread posted yesterday (the one about why it's so hard to hire new chairs).
So you can see, e3e9 is talking out of his a\s\s.
Total views down across the site just associates with fewer threads are being posted, which is predictable when the main page is clogged with spam.
This site is a cashcow for Kirk -- the idea he would shut down a site because it lost half its traffic in one year is somewhat ludicrous. If someone sent you a check for $10k per year just to do nothing, but then the next year it was only $5k, would you say, "Since the amount is lower, I'd rather you not send me these free checks at all?" Kirk puts no effort into this site (obviously), except once a month or so cleaning up a severe spam attack. The reward-to-effort ratio for him to simply maintain this site online is astronomical, even if total views are down 50% from all-time highs (but still way above where they were even several years ago). Also note that whoever is spamming the site is committing serious federal felonies and will very likely go to prison over this. They're overtly saying they want to attack a web site's ability to maintain funding by attacking it with spam. This gets into racketeering if the purpose is to censor/hide accurate information to protect ongoing manipulation of the sociology job market.
Spammer, you're going to need to join a racial gang in federal prison for protection, that's the system in US federal prisons, I hope you're ready. -

Tell me you don’t understand sampling without telling me you don’t understand sampling. If you want to tell me something about trends in views on posts, your selection needs to be representative. One from the past isn’t going to cut it. It could have been a lemon on one parti

^ You are having a meltdown.
Nah, that would be the people who are so made that they've spent days arguing the point in denial.
Threads averaged 527 views on a given day three months ago. Last half of last year was even higher. Today, its 280, which is lower than bu/mp days three months.. Month+ bumps excluded.
By every metric, even the bad ones, SJMR is in decline.
